If you haven't played Final Fantasy VI, get the port for the GBA. Honestly, it's the best Final Fantasy out there. I've beaten it about ten times and I'm still thinking about getting the GBA version.
all of the talesgames are fantastic. i played tales of phantasia on a snes emulator. way good. i was hooked. since i haven't played the gba game, i reccomended riviera. i loved it, partially because it had such a good story. and the battle system was pretty interesting. i can't wait to get it on the psp!
the first time i bought fire emblem, i was really disgusted. i previously played FFTA, and loved it, so i was expecting another tactics game with a few minor differences. in my opinion, they are nothing alike. :P i got so mad when my characters died for good, instead of coming back for the next battle! if i played it againnow, i dont think it would matter so much to me...
I voted Fire Emblem, because it's a great game all the way... great storyline, nice characters and so on... though you've set up a tough poll to vote for... maybe the easiest game to find is FFVI and it's a great game too, i like it a lot... Riviera is quite nice too, very amusing story, with little pieces of mythology scattered thru it... make your choice freely, you won't be disappointed, i guess... :)
