There was a topic about this not that long ago-

I was going to get a Nintendo DS if I passed my Japanese exam and I got the results recently and I got a narrow fail. Anyway, I'm more than happy enough with my GBA and even though I also have a PS2 and Gamecube, it's the GBA which I'm playing on the most right now.
I've heard some odd things about Nintendo using flash memory in games and the fact that flash memory can only be read and written over a set number of times and then bingo it won't save anymore. You do have to access it and save to it many, many times however. It's sound like I'm worrying about nothing but I'm sure that when the first batch of DS games stop working someone will come here and say hey my Gameboy version of Tetris is still working whereas your version of Metriod Prime Hunters isn't.
Also the price of the DS is another factor. I can get cheap GBA games mostly second hand whereas DS games will general cost more.
I'm sure that I will get a DS in the future but I don't like to be told when and how I have to upgrade. If I'm happy enough right now, why bother?

I don't have enough money, but when I do I usually spend it on things I need more. I may get a DS Lite one day or maybe I'll wait and see what comes out.
