Hi, I got a Nintendo Wii for Christmas, and I had been saying to my mum and dad that for my birthday, I wanted Animal Crossing (Gamecube) to play on my Wii. It was my birthday on Wednesday, and they had tried everywhere, but couldn't find it. The assistants said that the internet was there best bet. So because we don't have a credit/debit card, we asked my uncle to get it. We managed to find one on Ebay for £19.99, and it is now being shipped from England, to here in Northern Ireland (where I live). But as I have only ever played Wild World, I have no idea what the original's going to be like. Could you guys help me out by giving me your opinions? Is it good, is it bad? What's different? Will I be able to get used to the Gamecube controller rather than the Stylus? Thanks in advance!

its practically the same thing.  the game takes up about 50 blocks of memory for one town and u can have 4 ppl living in that town.  each person has their own house.  its really the same, theres nook, the post office, the sisters that sow things, and the muesam.  i dont really like it much but my bro loves them both.

It's great. It's missing some things that were added to the DS version, but it's still a great purchase.

You can also get NES games, saving you from having to download them on the Virtual Console. :)

While it does'nt have all of the features of wild world,I think it is still a better game overall. It's larger, has more residents, the holidays co-exist with real ones. Its controls are just fine with a gamecube controller.

On the negative side it has no online, and once you pay off all the mortgages and collect everything it gets very boring.

its one of those really cool games where the unexpected happens all the time, like paper mario. Except animal crossing is your virtual life.  Its really sweet

the gamecube version is just like the ds version except its missing out on stuff such as hats, wifi and it has seperate houses (which i think is actually better then the roomate stuff)

i guess it's worth buying.

And the DS version is missing all of the NES games and that version also doesn't give you your own Gyroid. The GameCube version is better.

I think that Wild World was a better game when it comes to celebrations in town and relationship with the other animals, but the original version has got NES games and it is awesome!

I didn't care for it too much. Its one of those games that you'll either love or hate. Sometimes its very slow paced and lacks direction, while other times it can be kinda funm just wasn't for me I guess.
