I saw a topic based on the best graphics in the DS forums so I was wondering what GC games had the best graphics.
I think Super Smash Bros. Melee, Super Mario Sunshine, Metroid Prime, The Wind Waker, Double Dash and Resident Evil 4.
How about you?

i did a thread like this a few weeks ago, and the top 3 responses were RE4, TP, and MP. I think RE4 would win if you did a poll.
I also mentioned other less-known titles like Star Fox Adventures, Soul Caliber 2, Rogue Leader 2, Fight Night 2, and NBA Street 3, along with the others you've mentioned.
I think that it's Resident Evil 4, hands down, with nothing else really coming close. I suppose that Super Smash Bros. has a lot of nice partical effects, and Zelda (both of them) has great art direction and scope, but in terms of technical graphics, it's RE4 by a mile.

TP has the nicestgraphics that still manage to be technically impressive.
RE4 and MP2 are probably the most technically impressive graphics.
IDK probably RE4 or TP. Both look pretty much the same though on the Wii and the GC >.> lol.
I also liked Tales of Symphonia for that kind of cel shady look (I didn't like Wind Waker's graphics, they bugged me).
EDIT : Metroid Prime (both of them) look great too.
Megaman Anniversary Collection FTW!
In all seriousness, I'd have to say Metroid Prime 2... the textures and lighting are easily on par with RE4, and it's got a better frame rate... the art style is sort of whack though.

You really think MP2 has a better frame rate than RE4? I don't think I even saw the frame rate drop in RE4 but I do remember a few times in MP2 when the frame rate dropped significantly when a lot of action took place of screen.

Are you playing on an HDTV with component cables and 480p? Otherwise you won't see the benefit of MP2's 60fps frame rate, since everything's stuck at 30fps on an SDTV... and in SD RE4 definitely looks better to me. It's just that in HD MP2's higher frame rate gives a much more crisp look...

Yeah, I agree completely.

Yeah, but wouldn't RE4 in 480p get the same benefits? I always felt that RE4 ran smooth at all points whereas MP2 did slow down at some points.
just like everybody else:
RE4, MP/MP2, TP. These all look great even by today's standards. MP is especially cool since it is actually the oldest, some of the textures, especially those of rocks are really amazing.

The game has to be made to run at 60fps to fully utilize 480p; in the case of RE4, there's just too many graphical effects to try to keep a 60fps frame rate (which is probably why MP2 has slowdowns occasionally), so they locked it at 30fps. When a game runs at 30fps on an HDTV, the jaggies and other graphical flaws are much more noticeable... in general it seems to me like 30fps Wii/GC games are best on an SDTV, but 60fps ones are best on an HDTV.

Alright, I see what you were getting at. Both still look spectacular though.
RE4, hands down best graphics. Prime comes close. TP is ok. Prime 2 was good, but the Dark World (especially the Agon Wastes and Torvus Bog) looks like garbage.Kr0nIc
The Dark World is a hideous abomination... of course the graphics in the Dark World are awful, because everything about the Dark World sucks. :P
