i was thinking about it, and even tho 64 was completely, mind-bogglingly revolutionary, i had a much better time playing Sunshine.

am i the only one? i just got a wii and didnt have a gc, so i dont know how everyone feels about this game

Well SMS took a lot of its cues from SM64 so they are similar in that respect, but honestly, even with its dated graphics and simplistic design, I still prefer SM64 over SMS simply because it wasn't as frustrating/annoying to control Mario and get hom to do what you wanted. It also had a lot more of a Mario feel to it. I think SMS was a confusing game overall and I didn't really have fun playing it.

Super Mario 64 is far and away my favorite. I didn't even enjoy Sunshine.

I like them both but since I've played through just about every version of SM64 3 times I'd get more enjoyment out of SMS, pretty much since I don't know how to get every single star, more of a challenge...

lol they aren't stars. or are they? O_O. Anyway, 64 owns sunshine. Better Story, better gameplay, better game. And do shine sprites qualify as stars?

I voted for Super Mario 64 it´s better than sunshine,yesterday I was playing this game and Zelda Ocarina of time.

super mario 64 is considered better and i enjoyed that game but for some reason i just enjoyed super mario sunshine a little more

I think Super Mario 64 is better, I have both that and sunshine like them both but 64 ups it a little (From my view that is)

Sunshine in all honesty. While Super Mario 64 was better for its time, the best overall isn't that much of a contest. Better control, better camera, better tasks (IMO), makes Sunshine the better game.

For some strange reason, Super Mario 64 was the first game to revolutionise camera and independent movement in 3D and still does it almost the best today. Sunshine had the Nintendo charm, and awesome graphics/sound, but lacked pretty much everything else. Unrewarding and tedious level/shine design, awful repetition of collecting sprites (10 in one level!!??), shorter and less varied levels than Super Mario 64, dissapointing boss levels, lack of awesome new enemies and still no Luigi or use of fireballs. Plus the FLUDD made Mario look unfit and lazy - Mario got the stupid gizmo to do the work for him, and Mario couldn't backflip or long jump.

Although I thought Sunshine was very good, Mario 64 was by far the better game.
