most consoles are nearing their death... if you look around what does xbox have to look forward to... and what does ps2 have to look forward to besides final fantasy 12? it's natural, and it's called the circle of life. consoles are born and they dieAi-Ai
Exactly but expect resurrection with Twilight Princess

The PS2 has a few games left, the Xbox is dead now though. The Cube has Twilight Princess and Fire Emblem left.[QUOTE="Ai-Ai"]most consoles are nearing their death... if you look around what does xbox have to look forward to... and what does ps2 have to look forward to besides final fantasy 12? it's natural, and it's called the circle of life. consoles are born and they dieTheAce144

nah, Twilight Princess will be like the grand finale. The Gamecube dies with a big bang.

not dead yet, but definitley on life support. like most of you mentioned, the last, and perhaps greatest game for the system will be twilight princess.
history is repeating itself.
in the final days of the n 64, the last great game for the system was majora's mask, which to this day is one of my favorite games of all times. i remember the inevitable sense of impending doom most gamers felt for the n 64. the birth of a fantastic game and the death of a very good system was a bittersweet moment for most n 64 gamers at best.
the end is near......
is it too early to reflect on all the great times i had with the cube?

i can't really say the gamecube is dead... but we have all seen that the gamecube has alot off those bad games...uhh? Every platform has bad games, not just the GC. But anyway, right now all the platforms are dying. It's the next gen, just around the corner.
but i think that xbox and ps2 have the same problem for example : 187 ride or die wich is a copy from mario kart in a urban style
we are just going to need to accept that the gamecube has a few great games like Zelda, Metroid Prime, Resident Evil 4 and more
just check for your self is it worth to keep the gamecube for those games, i would say Hell Yeah
i loved resident evil 4 and loved MP(2) so i would have to say that the gamecube has a stroke now and then but it has not died for sure
and at the moment i am looking forward to playing Ultimate Spiderman,
me living in Europe and stuff has delayed it from releasing untill the 14th of october

That's what he said.

why dont you try looking on GS for new GC games? :| yeah, try that instead of ASSUMING things...

It's not an assumption pal, he was asking a QUESTION, try reading his post before being a smart-ass next time. And there really are hardly any new GC games coming out, that is just a fact.
I have 32 GC games most of which are good, great, and exclusive, and own both the Xbox and PS2. There are more than enough good games out there.

I agree, but I can't deny that the Xbox has overtaken the Gamecube in my personal collection, though narrowly, but I am sad to confess that there's still a good sized handful of XBox titles I want before the next gen hits, and only a couple of GCN titles.
Currently I have 44 Xbox games (Ultimate Spider Man came in the mail, yay!) 42 GCN games, and 32 PS 2 games. Most of the PS2 and GCN games are exclusives, while the Xbox collection is mostly made up of the 3rd party ports which are generally always best on Xbox. That's not to say that the quality of games on GCN pales to the XBox, I would rate the bulk of my GCN collection as being great, as opposed to the XBox collection being mostly mediocre stuff I got out of bargain bins. I have outright purchased most of my GCN games at full price, where as the PS2 and Xbox I generally don't pay much more than $15-20 a game... the problem is that the PS2 and XBox have a flood of mediocre but still fun titles you can get cheap... Nintendo has less games but the quality of them is generally greater... Just my 2 cents.
Well I'm still looking forward to Fire Emblem, Yoot Saito's Odama and Mario Strikers (one of the finalist for Gamespot's game of E3.) I should keep an eye out for Kirby and Pokemon XD in case those turn out good (though i wonder if Kirby is still even coming out .) As for third party stuff there's Prince of Persia 3, Gun, Viewtiful Joe Red Hot Rumble, and Shadow the Hedgehog.
As for next year, there's StarCraft: Ghost, Zelda and Baten Kaitos II (let's hope they bring that over stateside.) Ghost is in Feburary, Zelda is supposed to come out after april and Baten Kaitos would likely take at least half a year to translate so we'll probably get it in the summer or later (i'm guessing.) Pretty spread out but hopefully it'll be quality over quantity.
It's not a lot but it's near the end of it's life cyle so this should have been expected. Still, there's up to 12 more good games (7 exclusives) comming up that i can think of so i don't think it's bad as people might think. Let's just hope all those games turn out good.
Besides Z:TP (which should be on the REV instead), there are a few games coming out that might prolong the GC's life a bit - Fire Emblem, Baiten Katos 2 - but the GC is pretty much dead in terms of new content.
All 3 systems are dying, some more so than the other. The PS2 will last the longest with the XBOX and GC behind.

LOZ:TP is coming to the Rev bacause its backwards compatible :D.

Dude Ghost is never gonna come out. NEVER!
Unfortunately, it's getting to that point.
There's still a ton of fun games to play on it though, which is good. And most of them are pretty cheap.
