I found the PS2 and Xbox rumble features to be about the same as the GC's as well.

The poster is talking last gen, not next gen. The PS2's rumble is very much in place and a bit strong than the GC, not that it really matters much. That's like complaining that the Sega Genesis doesn't have rumble. *sigh*

i think gamecbue controller just has a rumble feature in the center of the controller.  ps2 has one on both sides...i don't really notice much difference though.

I think the GCN rumble is very slightly weaker... But I always turn the rumble off, so I'm not a very good judge.

Yes it is. The D-pad could be a little better too, it's too small.

I've got a Gamecube and PS2 and never felt that the Gamecube controller had a weak rumble. Of course it might depend if you are buying an official controller or a 3rd party one but even then I never noticed any major difference.

I think it might be just a bit weaker than say the PS2 because of the design. And the Xbox just has a huge rumble packs on each side. But I was playing smash bros last night adn didnt really mind!

well......I think that the rumble is pretty good. yeah, the rumble can fade after time and get weaker, but the newer ones have a great rumble compared to x-box and PS2.

Meh, the rumble feature never really registered in my book. I would be perfectly happy without it.

I find the Gamecube's rumble doesn't feel right, being weaker. I think it's because it comes more from the centre of the controller and the PS2 has two vibrators right in the handgrips meaning a more direct feel. Never have touched an Xbox controller so I have no idea about it.

And honestly... rumble is used very rarely in any games as an actual gameplay mechanic and at that I usually never even really notice it unless it's riduclously strong (as is the case with FFX's summons), at which point it's actually irritating.

It doesn't bother me, cause it isn't that big of a deal.
