Personally i'd say its better than the Wii verion. Sadly i bought the Wii version and im regretting it. It wouldve been so much better playing it with an ordinary controller.
I'm about 8 hours into the game and I've been having a lot of fun so far. It's a great game on either the Gamecube or Wii from what I've seen and read. When I started playing my only concern was the aiming with certain weapons like the slingshot but I haven't had any problems with it at all.
The only real difference is the control method and the inversion. For instance anywhere you would make a right turn to go somewhere in the GC version, I would make a left. As well as Link's armaments hands, the Wii Link is right handed for the sword, and left for the shield, on the GC it is the opposite. I have owned both and each rock out loud, so GC is just as good, and less finnicky, go for it.
I would have to say that it was great on the wii and the game cube! I just got it for the wii and I know where everything is and how to beat it cause I beat it on the game cube but not the wii. On wii version im at the part where you fight ganondorf at the end.
Yes it is a really good game. Only the die-hard hardcore Zelda fanboys came away disappointed, but if you are not really that much into Zelda, it is a masterpiece and matches up well with OOT.
One thing the GC has over the Wii version that I really need is camera control, I cannot play a 3-D action adventure game without great camera control.
i had it for both(got rid of the wii version) because it is sooooooo much better on gc, not blurry like the wii, not mirrored, the controlls are better, you actually have control of the camera, it is just so much better on the gc, i couldnt even play it on the wii.
