The same thing happened to me with my MadCatz card.  Was your card a 3rd party card? If so, switch to Nintendo-brand ones... and keeping backups is always a good idea.

Mad Catz is a waste of money I think. I bought 3 mad catz controllers and they stopped working in a week. And If I lost my memory card data I'd lose 50+ games worth of data.

Thats why I have a 1021 block memory card. It never delete itself and I got over 30 games stored in it and it still not pass the half way point of its capacity......

Me too! But I thought it was 1019, not 1021. Not that I mean to be nerdy or anything.

That's why I still use my N64!!!! And the Wii, more recently. Say, do you think that the memory built in to the Wii could do the same thing? 'Cause that would REALY suck.

Third-party stuff is cheap because the product is cheap.Think about it they manage to put stuff out after acouple of months when the first party developer has been working on their products for a couple of years. Buy quality, buy it once. With that said that really sucks, you should by two cards and save on the second every few saves just in case.

It has already happened to me, now I keep saves from my most important games on a spare memory card.
