Just how violent is RE4?

JK, I know its pretty violent, but I really want to get it! I've heard so many good things about it. Problem is, I'm almost 16 and my parents dont allow me to play M games. Is it a pretty "M" M game/ Or do yo uthink I should be allowed to get it? I'm concerned that if they let me get it and watch me play it, a chainsaw weilding villager will slice off my head, and my parents will freak out, how often does that happen btw? And could you guys kinda give me an overview of the content? It would be really appreciated, Everyone on here is so helpful. Thanks!RESISTEE926

It's "M" enough that your parents would drop kick you through a wall if you lied and told them "it isn't that bad"

Heads blown off, heads chain sawed off, heads bitten off, dog's ripping your throat out, parasites brusting out of people's heads...

It could be worse I guess, but it's pretty brutal, epseicallyif your parents take offence to this type of stuff.

Well do they allow you to watch gory movies? Because this really isn't worse than any given horror movie... But yeah, it does deserve it's M-rating :Pder_spudmeister

I agree with this person. If your parents can let you watch or especially read anything that has more gore, then you should question why they won't let you play an M rated game.

But seriously, TC, have a talk with your parents and tell them that if they think you're going to emulate what you see in the game that they are crazy. Tell them you're not a little kid and it won't give you nightmares. I'm sure you've seen R-rated movies. It's no different.

It could be pretty graphic for some people. It wasn't graphic for me at all.

Okay it's definately one of the most violent games ever released. But at the same time it's shouldn't be innappropriate for a 16 year old. There is no sex/nudity and there is very little swearing. I would agree with the 15+ rating.

It's on par with a violent rated R horror movie. Do they let you watch those?
