im only an hour or 2 into the game and i went to the 1st portal terminal in agon wastes and after i activated the bomb slot i left the portal room (i dont remember why...oops) and then when i came back nothing would activate...i tried scanning everything and nothing would work, so im assuming i cant get it to work. is there any way? at least im only a little bit into the game! but seriously...i dont know what to do or if there is anything to do.
Where the portal is, there should be a bunch of red circles or something around it. You need to scan one of them to re-activate the portal. If that doesn't work, maybe try and see if the bomb slot will work again. Otherwise, I suppose it's possible you found a glitch and may just have to start over.
LOL I played Metroid Prime 2: Echoes ages ago so I wouldn't be able to tell you. I suggest gamefaqs.com. It really is a great website if you get lost or something.
mabe you need the dark beam, but to be quite honest I've could be wrong use the gamespot guide not the gamefaqs one if your looking for a walkthrough btw
I've heard about this in the game... Unfortunatley for you, this is a fatal glitch, and you can't activate the things with your scan visor. Sadly too say, a restart is the only thing possibal.
You can avoid this again by not leaving the room, thats what triggered the glitch.

No, that was a lot further in the game ( i know, because i triggered the )@^$)@*^$*^ glitch) You should move on, save and go further till you meet the Jump guardian.

OMG I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM!!! i DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO. Ever since that crap i gave up on that game. I tried to jump on the ledge with the waterfall next to it for like a good 30 minutes. I would get pissed and turn the game off and never look at it again. =[
