Alright, lets cut to the chase. I'm good at Smash Brothers. More than half time I beat all my friends who are also good at smash brothers. I don't specialize in one character, but when it comes right down to it... I'm not great at Smash brothers. The computer players (In Event Mode/Classic/Adventure) Slap me silly literally every time. I just can't win. I've searched for videos and websites that offer in depth strategy only to come up empty handed.

Does anyone know of a good strategy website for Super Smash Brothers, for a veteran player who really wants to improve? Or does anyone have some super secret special advice?

Do you know how to wavedash?

Go to youtube and search for it and learn how to do it.

It's a must know technique for high level players.

Exactly, specialize in one or more characters then study their moves and experiment with them in training mode. I would recommend playing with either: Link, Fox, or maybe DK......unless you have unlocked the secret characters.

Just learn the strengths and weaknesses of each character and how to use them. Like for example if you're gonna go with Link, I'd reccommend learning how to balance his projectiles with his sword play, cause once you do that he is easily one of the most versatile characters in the game.

Just use the dodge move and the C stick a lot and you'll do fine. BTW I never lose in this game with Marth. :D

You need to learn how to wave dash, dash dance, L cancel, short hop, fast fall, tech, edge hog, edge guard, ect. You need to learn the lag times of your selected character's moves, and which of them are "priority" attacks. Don't use the c-stick. Please.

Read that.

I've mastered all of the techniques presented in this guide, and I now play tournaments and win money.

Yeah they're called the "Advanced techniques". Look up SSMB Advanced techniques and there's a 3 or 4 part video all about it. Good stuff.

Specialize at two characters: a long rang character(e.g. samus) and a short range (e.g. yoshi) then, use that character against the opposite type. For instance, use link agaianst DK and keep a distance. Pummel him with missile attacks, then smash attack when he has high damage. Or, vice versa: use DK against Link, and keep attacking at close range to destroy him. Also, learn all the advanced moves.
