OOT took me 6 weeks or so playing it several hours each day.  I don't remember how long MM was but I don't think it was as long as OOT

I've finished Ocarina of Time in 30 hours or so but it was a thrill and I started all over again.

OoT was my 2nd N64 game, and I already beaten all my Saturn and PS1 RPGs, so i spent a couple months just goofy off and finding all the spiders, fishing and every little thing about that game...

i haven't played MM yet, but i would like to get on that by next month

Let's see, I got OoT right when it came out, so I was about 7 then. It took me 2 or 3 months to get to the water temple and then I got stuck and couldn't beat that temple. So a couple months later a friend came over and beat it for me, and then I ended up beating the game a month later. So overall on the timeline it took like 4-5 months to first beat the game. I know thats a long time, but I was 7-8, it was hard for me, and I didn't play it all the time.

Took me about a year I think. I was about 9, and it was my bros game, so I didn't play it that much. I remember I couldn't figure out how to kill Deku Scrubs, so I gave up halfway through the Great Deku Tree for a few days, until I bothered to read the manual and realised you could ask Navi for an enemy's weakness..

Ocarina of Time took me forever to beat because right before the final boss fight I was going to make a backup save file so I could always go back through the dungeon but instead I copied over my original file which actually deleted the game save. (I played it on the 'cube) It was frustrating to say the least... I had to go back through the entire game just to see the ending for the first time.

The first time I beat both of those games, it took me about a month. I was just starting to play video games then though.
