I'm gonna have to say PS2 because the bonus content is pretty sweet.

I personally think the 'cube version controls better. And it's cool because it was first. Graphics are a little bit granier on the PS2, but plays smooth. It pretty much depends on how much you want the bonus content.

Get the Wii version, but to be honest the GC version looks much better and the controller seems to be perfect for the game and the PS2 has like 2 more hours of gameplay. It comes down to what you want 30 hours of beautiful gameplay or 32 hours of great gameplay.

I have played both, finished the gamecube one (friends house) I really didn't notice a difference in graphics, but I s'pose if I was actually looking then I would, my point is unless you get out a magnifying glass and look you really don't notice it that much.... The controller on the ps2 does feel like it was quickly ported, like a game pad on a computer, but you get used to it after a few minutes and again, you forget about it. In the end it does come down to the bonus content, you aren't so likely to forget about that, so get the Ps2 version. Unless you enjoy breaking out the magnifying glass...

As much as PS2 has extra content on it, the Gamecube plays and looks a bit better, as well as load alot better. So I say Gamecube.

PS2 has more noteable load times, and the graphics are a bit more grainy. On the other hand, the PS2 has 5 bonus levels, so overall I'd say PS2, because you can see past minor load times and a few graphical problems because the game itself is so good, and the 5 bonus levels make it even better. Plus the PS2 version has an extra weapon and unlockable costumes (if they really matter at all), but still, it's a bonus.

I would say the PS2 version, just because of the bonus content. But, if you really prefer graphics over content, then the Gamecube would be the best choice. PS2 / GC Comparison Screenshots

If you've never played it before... the Wii version offers the best of everything... so get that version.  I played through the cube version and I've seen the PS2 version... the PS2 version uses FMV (captured from the cube version) to tell the story where as everything on the cube was rendered by the cube itself.

Definitly the gamecube version. The PS2 may have some bonus stuff, but the Gamecube has better graphics, loading times, framerate, controls, more can happen on screen etc. Read any reveiw and they will recomend the Gamecube version. Ive playe both and would definitly say the gamecube has the better version.

Depends.

The PS2 version has a lot of load times, the graphics are very blurry with a lot of slowdown and the controls are not as responsive.

But the Gamecube version does not have the extra content.

Depends what you want, more content or better graphics.

Resident Evil 4 for Wii.

Gamecube graphics (they are really nice) with PS2 extras = great game.

Hang on hang on, when did the Wii become an option? This guy asks between the two versions and people are quickly telling him to get a version that isn't out yet for a console he may or may not have and didn't ask an opinion for. The Wii version was just announced and as far as I know telling him to get a version that none of you have even played doesn't even make any sense. Blind fandom is an awful awful thing.

whats wrong with giving him another option? It would make sense too, seeing how it has the best features of both the gamecube version and the ps2 version.

The Wii version is going to be awsome, but between the two, I'd have to say pick the Gamecube version.

He didn't ask for another option....and it's not even an option! "Go get a game that isn't released for a console that you don't have that hasn't even been played yet". The Wii version of Resident Evil 4 may come out and it may be AWFUL, no one knows. The point of the matter is, he asked between the GC and the PS2 and people told him to get the Wii version...wow, just wow.

You know what, here's an option, go buy a PS3 and wait till GTA4: Miami is released in 2010 because that's about as useful to you as the Wii version of Resident Evil 4 is to this guy.

The Wii version is going to be awsome, but between the two, I'd have to say pick the Gamecube version.SSJ100Vegeto

The Wii version may not be awesome.

I own both versions and I would say that both are very good with perhaps the Gamecube coming out as the better version for the main game. If however you are looking for some extra content then I would go for the PS2 version. The main game plays the same on both versions however.

The controls and the graphics are better on the GameCube. The GC controller definitely fits this game better than the PS2 controller does.

Definatly the Playstation 2 version.
Who cares if GC has better graphics?

PS2 has more content, better controls, and the controls allow me to be able to beat anything I want with my knife, except the bosses you can't touch, like Salazar.

This thread really doesn't belong here since we're talking about a game on two systems, but why post about this and ignore the upcoming Wii version that will have the graphics AND content? :?
