No!!! I just got a gamecube a few days ago. And its dead!!!! Oh well I have a 360 to meet my nex-gen needs, and besides I am still having fun with my gamecube.

Gamecube even though i bought an xbox 360 and left you to collect dust on the shelf, the time we spent together was a worhty one and for that i will truly truly miss you. -Long Live the Gamecube!!!!!!!!

Because alot of people had very fond memories of the Gamecube and sometimes it's ad to know that no new ones will be had. I don't think anyone is being 'emotional', just paying their respects to something that brought them a bit of enjoyment and entertainment over the years. I don't see where the problem is.
I love the GC, don't get me wrong, but isn't there something weird about telling it goodbye? It won't hear you, it's an inanimate machine. lol Plus it was never alive so how can it die? If you still want to say bye, go into the room where you have it and say it, I doubt your GC is going to get up off the floor and get to the computer and somehow find this thread and read the message you wrote for it. Otherwise, I find this thread pretty creepy...
