NO CLONE CHARACTERS! Honestly, how hard is it to think of ORIGINAL moves for all of the characters? I was very disappointed that so many fighters in that game were essentially the same, with varying differences in speed, jumping, etc. Some more combo moves, like Marth and Roy's sword dance would have been REALLY kool. That was definitely a step in the right direction.
The game was rushed to meet the 'Cube launch (and still missed by a couple of weeks), that's why it's like that. They're clearly taking their time with SSBB, so I'm sure the game will be more varied, yet balanced.
I dont have a lot of complaint about Melee because its an awesome game but I wish it had the entrances from SSB1 and online would have bin cool but I hope Brawl will have entrances and online
Work on the AI a bit more to make them not jump to their death when you are on the edge. BALANCE the friggin characters so using DK or Bowser is possible. Fix glitches like wave dashing, so new people can have a shot against veterans, well at least a bit more even.

Seriously. It would be awesome if Marth had completely different moves from Roy, Pichu from Pikachu, Young Link from Link.
