SSBM overpriced?

I just bought SSMB again after selling it stupidily and I was disappointed to see that it's 50 bucks in most stores. I still bought it because I think it's the greatest game but it's been 6 years since it came out, don't you think they could lower the price.

I payed $14.99 for it, and I overpayed by at least $13.99

Price drops are dictated by the market though, and as long as SSBM continues to be the #1 game folks talk about (don't ask me why because I obviously don't "get it") they've got no reason to drop the price.  Why would they drop the price if people are still willing to pay $30-40 for it?

I get the feeling that some Gamecube games have gone up in price recently due to the WIi. I'm trying to buy Baten Kaitos at the moment (ebay), but it seems I'm going to have to pay more than I expected (compared to what I saw earlier last year). Maybe it will die down again after the Wii has been out for a while and it has more of it's own games to interest people.stevencompton
