Has anyone tried the Mad Catz Universal S-Video cables or the Intec Universal S-video cables? Do they make a big difference in picture quality compared to composite cables? Are there any other cables that you reccomend??

While not the particular brand, yes, S-Video cables make a lot of difference. My cable also supports X-Box and PS2, the biggest change I noticed was while playing GTA:SA for PS2, in the little map I thought I was seeing little green money signs, really blurry with composite, but then when I used that S-Video cable, they became really clear green houses, text was more readable, and everything looked sharper. Of course, this leads to some 'jaggies' which many people complain about when using component cables on non-hd games.

Yes, there is a noticeable difference. I highly suggest buying those or component cables. I have the Mad Catz myself and don't pay more than $10!

Yeah, there is a noticable difference. Its nothing huge since the GC was really not meant for Hi-def, but everything is a lot cleaner.
