What are some good games I may have overlooked?

I looked in the reccomendation thread, and namely, some of the top rated games like Battalion wars and Animal crossing just dont interest me, and some realy good games were left out completely.

So I was wondering if you could reccomend firsthand some games I my have overlooked in my quest for the best (heh heh, it rhymed)that are the genres I like. I preffer Action Adventure, FPS, tactical shooters, stealth ala splintercell, So basicly that action-y type. Then I like a game with a great story and intriguing plot such as ToS, and creative innovative games like Ikaruga which I am trying to locate, that break out of the stereotypical. So any reccomendations would be appreciated.

Oh, BTW I cant play M games as of yet, so you will find a lack of games like Eternal Darkness: SR and RE 4.Anywho, heres what I already have. Its not a huge collection, but that what I want to change and hope this thread will help.

Paper Mario, Zelda TP (unless you have a Wii), Metroid Prime 2, F-Zero GX, SCII, Starfox Adventures, Animal Crossing, and the Mega Man Anniversary Collection come to mind. Oh, and Fire Emblem PoR, 007 Nightfire and Mario Power Tennis. I can't remember the rest of my GC collection off the top of my head...

M games that are good are MGS:The Twin Snakes, Timesplitters 3 (although I don't know if it's worth it if you have TS2), RE4, and Eternal Darkness, as you said. If you can't get M games now because you're not old enough, just get your parents to buy them and 'hold onto them' or something until they let you - a lot of these games are great but getting rarer and rarer.

You already have Tales of Symphonia, which I was going to recommend.

Phantasy Star Online Episode I & II is fun if you're into dungeon crawling. My library is pretty limited, so I don't have much else to recommend, sorry.
