As the Cube and its games slowly disappear from the shelves of stores, I wonder what games will prove hard to find as the months and years roll on.

I think we can take it as a given that games like Capcom vs SNK 2 EO, Cubivore, Gauntlet Legends, Ikaruga, Jedi Outcast, Monster 4x4 Masters of Metal/Monster Jam Maximum Destruction and NCAA College Basketball 2K3 are/will be hard to find.

As well, any game that came out with a Player's Choice version will likely be not that hard to find, as well as any game with Mario in it.

From what I've seen, I'd wager these games will be hard to find in the next little while:

  • Alien Hominid
  • City Racer
  • Freedom Fighters
  • Grooverider: Slot Car Thunder
  • Hot Wheels: World Race
  • Hot Wheels: World Race
  • King Arthur
  • Monopoly Party!
  • MX Superfly
  • Pinball Hall of Fame: The Gottlieb Collection
  • Pitfall: The Lost Expedition
  • Pool Paradise
  • Puyo Pop Fever
  • Red Faction II
  • Roadkill
  • Speed Kings
  • Superman: Shadow of Apokolips
  • Tetris Worlds
  • Top Angler
  • Wallace and Gromit in Project Zoo

I'm not a big Resident Evil or Zelda fan so I can't really comment of those games.

What games do you think will be hard to find?

Well in my local area, finding Gamecube games full stop last year became nearly impossible, but since the release and major success of the Wii, I've noticed even GAME stores have began stocking them again, and although most are pre-owned, nonetheless it is nice to see them back on the shelves and available.

It all really depends on where you're from.

For example, I'm from the UK and Ive NEVER seen either Paper Mario or Baiten Katos Origins.

However, I'm currently in the US and Ive seen several US games websites that have Baiten Katos in stock and they have plenty of copies of Paper Mario at Walmart.

Probably not the games Nintendo released for the GC, since they still produce them and ship them to stores.

But Alien Hominid and Tetris Worlds arevery hard to find, so those 2 games.

I have been picking up cube games for a few months now here in the uk but it has been a struggle finding some titles. The hardest to find for me have been Alien Homonid andTetris, I still haven't found them. Some I really struggled to get are:

Zelda Collectors Edition

Zelda Windwaker (with extra disc)

Paper Mario T Y D

F Zero GX

Soul Caliber 2

Star Wars Jedi Outcast

Ikaruga

Viewtiful Joe 2

Starfox Assault

Burnout 2

Pickmin 2

Eternal Darkness

Puyo Pop

Mario Kart DD

What did you think of Jedi Outcast - was it worth the effort finding it? I haven't found a copy yet but I've read bad things about it and seems it may be a waste to spend so much on a game that may end up a dust collector.

It plays just like your typical pc fps shooter. I'm very happy with it up to now (not completed it yet). I would say it plays likeQuake 2 but with Stormtroopers, it even has that swaying screen when you walk which I personally prefer to the gliding effectthat Timesplitters uses. I actually prefer it to Timespliters 2 and Future Perfect. I've heard concerns about slowdown but haven't seen any yet, perhaps it's because I'm playing it on the Wii. The Wii has cured slowdown in Monkeyball 1muliplayer which I used to play on my cube, but I have only picked this up since I got the Wii and haven't suffered with it so far.It is much better than I was expecting but I didn't pay much for it. I would say it is the best Star Wars game on the cube, exept that is for Rouge Leader. Also the multiplayer mode is is top notch and deserves a mention.

Well I live in QLD, Australia and most stores don't even stock GC games anymore (2nd hand places do..), but MGS: Twin Snakes, Ikaruga, Skies of Arcadia Legends are very difficult to find.
