Nintendo just doesn't have enough fan support to sustain two consoles, and two handhelds. Plus the Wii is the system to own right now, and it would be foolish of Nintendo to draw that attention away from it.
There are 4 games scheduled to come out, nothing spectacular, but it looks like the Gamecube era is almost over.
Support for it is small and it is considered obsolete (which isnt true in my opinion). Small Sales mean small sections for it in game stores, which means it about to be slienced very soon. Any game you want for it should be bought right now when they are still available, even if it is used. Thre are only about less than 10 games you can even find new on it any more, which is pretty sad.

Actually it's the exact opposite.
Nintendo has so much support that everyone and their brother is getting a Wii. Since they have so much support they don't have to support their older console hoping that people will eventually upgrade. Other companies which will remain nameless don't have that luxury right now and have to focus on two platforms.
The Cube is still good hardware it's just that Nintendo is so popular now that they don't need it. Which is a good thing for the company but not too terrific for Gamecube owners.

If Nintendo had so much fan support, they would be able to keep both Wii & Gamecube going strong. Unfortunately, they do not, so they have to focus on only one console. The Wii is incredibly popular right now, but there are a lot of Cube owners that can't find or afford a Wii. Nintendo shouldn't be pulling the plug on the Gamecube so soon.
Newb question, what are those four games?
dark_j3d1
Ratatouille, Backyard Football 2007, Foodfight, and Madden NFL 08.
cuz nobody really cares about the gc anymore and nintendo kinda screwed themselves over by having basically no online support.
Why isn't Gamecube getting more games?
It is. Madden NFL 08 is in development for the GC.
cuz nobody really cares about the gc anymore
Lot's of people still have the GC, and still enjoying playing it.
Why isn't Gamecube getting any more games. It's always Xbox 360,Wii,PS2,PSP,PS3,DS.It's so unfair. Why is this happening.yurichia
I saw this question so much when the change from SNES to N64 ocurred...

I'm seeing this question again now that the change from GC to Wii has ocurred...
It is simple. Why support the old system when all the people are paying attention to your NEW system?
Game development for GC is slowing down, no doubt. But, there are a few more games in development. And since Nintendo still allows third-party games to be released for the GC, there could be more announced in the future.
