ive been looking for a new game cube game and looked around in shops to find very small game cube sections or in most case no section for the little cube. why are shops stop selling the games, its not like the cube was well beaten by ps2 or even xbox 1. in fact the isn't the sales gap between the xbox 1 and cube like a couple of million. well judge ing by the shop you thought that the cube had sold far less.

I know how you feel. My local GAME store stopped selling GC games for a while but started again when TP was released.

Prolly because they didnt have volume to begin with while the gamecube was still nintendo's main console. And now that they got rid of what they had and the fact that there are almost no new games for the GC coming out...you have a small selection. But for hte PS2 and Xbox, you still have some 3rd party ports coming to these, plus more games were prolly shipped for these consoles also.

I was under the impression that Nintendo was done making GC games after the TP realease. But I guess I was wrong because they are still coming out with them..they are just more scarce due to the Wii, obviously.

Some places didn;t see the sales numbers they need. You woiuld have to read up on the industry. Shelf space is what they sell, not the games themselves.

There really isn't much point for developers to continue making games for the GC. The developers may as well take advantage of the similar architecture of the GC and Wii and upgrade their games to the Wii to sell for that system instead. Though, personally, my GC is far from dead, there are still plenty of cheap used games that I still want to play.

I know what you mean. Almost IMMEDIATELY after Sega's announcement when they finally said that they were not making any more new Dreamcast consoles, EB's, GameStops and at least half of the stores that did carry video game merchandise stopped carrying all forms of DC merchandise, period. And effectively, much like Microsoft pretty much killed the Xbox 1 with the Xbox 360, Nintendo's basically jumping ship with the GameCube in favor of the Wii.

My local Gamestops still sell Gamecube games in a big Gamecube section, it's just that they're mostly cheap. As in prices.

Don't forget it is six years old already. That's an eternity in system life spans. There also wasn't much third-party support for the system to begin with, so quantity is low, but overall the quality of the games made for it well make up for this.

Most retail locations have liquidated their GC stock to make room for new consoles.  You missed out on some cheap games a few months ago.  Check eBay.

There will be a trickle of GC games this year starting with Radio Allegry and most likely ending with Kirby

Oh that maks me mad that there are less gamecube games now. but the real reason is now that Nintendo has came out with Nintendo WII, you can play your gamecube games on that and so instead of them making the original gc games they are just going to make them into wii games. but you cannot play wii games on your gc game council which REALLY cooks my grits!!! and no its not that because gc is old i know many people who have gc system and many games with it.

Stores still sell Gamecube games.  It's just that there are less now since the cube is already dead.  The last big game on the Cube was Zelda: TP.  There may still be sports games or games based on movies that still are gonna come out on the Cube.
