I recently bought Windwaker thinking it was going to be great even though Link looked lame (but I liked the cell-shaded graphics). The gameplay at first was cool but as I continued to play it the experience felt sort of dry even though there was a vast ocean to explore. I really expected this game to be awesome considering I liked all the other Zeldas. I don't know if its just me but I felt like it would be a waste of time to visit every island in the land of windwaker considering how huge the Map was.. I guess it just wasn't what I was used of in a Zelda game....

I keep wondering if Wind Waker gets better near the end?

I dont know if the game is worth the time to finish.

Yes, it's worth the time. I can see where sailing in the ocean isn't that much fun, but the game is great. For me I liked it better than Twlight Princess, but that is just my opinion.

the sailing is dull, but it's pretty good. i like the art style soo much. for a while afterwards, i had difficulty picturing non cell-shaded in my head.

If you've played some Zelda games and like them, then yes it's definitely worth it.

I found this game to be excellent from the begining to the end, if you didn't like it right from the begining, you may dislike this game, and maybe not, but could happen

First time I played Wind Waker I got bored with it after about 4 or 5 hours of gameplay. A year later I went back and pushed myself a little bit further and ended up really enjoying it. Unfortunately I got fed up with the one of the final tasks that involved a lot of monotonous sailing. I think that's the problem with the game. It's fairly inconsistant. There are some absolutely fantastic stretches in the game, but there's also some really boring bits that you just have to bite down and force yourself to play through.

That being said, I loved the art style of the game. I still consider it to be one of the best looking games ever made.

for me it started out slow with the forsaken fortress, but when i got to the first dungeon things picked up. I'm replaying it right now, right now im doing the most tedious part of the game, where you have to find tons of rupees for tingle the fairy.

IMHO, the dungeons in WW are top-notch Zelda as usual. For me, it wasn't worth exploring every island and trying to get all the powerups and treasures. So if you just follow the story mode dungeons, it would be worth it, IMHO.

Definitely, do finish it. At first it's a bit iffy, but just keep going, you'll love it.

Definitely worth the time and effort. I didn't beat the game yet and the sailing around is very time-consuming, but the rest of the game well makes up for it. :)

Wind Waker is worth your time, at least beat the main story. For some reason, though, I never collected all of the pieces of heart like I did in the other Zelda games.

Outside of too much sailing it's very good and doesn't always get the credit it deserves imo. For dull sailing parts though I had the controller in one hand and the remote in the other, flipping back and forth between TV and the game while keeping the controller pointed in the direction I wanted to go. That helped a little.

I enjoyed WindWaker from start to finish. Other than the high requirement of sailing required at the end, I found the game in general to be well balanced and enjoyable.

I had a hard time playing Wind Waker. It was the first Zelda game I had played that made me bored (I've played almost all the Zelda games and finished the ones I've played). But I pushed through and even had to start over because my data got corrupt. I'm glad I did because it's one of my favorite Zelda games and that sense of boredom when playing has went away.
