What series would you call 1 hit wonders? Franchises that had one great game but never could never do it again. I'd say Medal OF Honor. They had 2 truly awesome games (Frontline and Allied Assault) and the many others were either poor or medicre. What other series would you consider 1 hit wonders?
Battle Arena Toshinden (2 killed the good thing the original had going, and the series never looked back.) Mortal Kombat (Three giant turds, then UMK3 redeems the brand, feces as far as the eye can see from there.) Resident Evil (4, naturally.) Street Fighter Alpha (2 was the bright spot between the broken wreck that was Warriors' Dreams and the encumbered mess that was Alpha 3.)
Azure Dreams on the PS1 was a great game, its psudo-sequel on the DS, Tao's Adventure... not so much.Clamwich
Hells yes! Azure Dreams was a damned good game. Tao's Adventure on the other hand was a giant turd that made me cry due to the false hopes it created within me.
Sonic Advance 1-3, Sonic Rush, Sonic Rush Adventure, Sonic Adventure, Sonic Adventure 2, and Sonic Pocket Adventure as well. There have been other good Sonic games too. None of them on par with that list, but Heroes and Secret Rings are good games nonetheless.
