Police in Vietnam have arrested a 13-year-old boy accused of murdering and robbing an 81-year-old woman for money to play online games, a police official said Tuesday. Dinh The Dan was arrested on Sunday at his home in Nam Dinh province, 80 kilometers south of Hanoi, according to local policeman Nguyen Duy Duong.

the kid was pressured to continue playing by his friends and he killed the old lady for only 6.2$ to feed his game. omfg the world is going crazy, out of curiosity game bad or humanity bad?

He could've just worked for the money or something. But seriously, what an idiot. At that age, you know something like that is wrong. Why would he think he would get away with it, anyway? I'm sure he could've gotten money some other way.

Well, I'm sure that there is something else wrong with him. He can't just kill some old lady for money at that age... I hope...

Who said it was a MMO? It could have been some lame internet java game. A majority of people in Vietnam can't afford home internet. But they do have internet cafes there. He probably needed the money to get online at an internet cafe.

Oh, and I seriously doubt this kid could afford a "proper" MMO subscription game like WoW and such (otherwise he wouldn't be killing 80 years old grandmas).

You still aren't getting the point. What is he going to do after that? There isn't much he can do if he has been in prison for his whole life. It's hard to start being the perfect citizen after that.
