I check my mail, and in a flyer from toys r us at the back you see GTA 4. coming 29 April.

Damn

The entire flyer was full of dolls and stuff and then they sell an 18 plus game.

Kinda twisted, you don't see american gangster next to spongebob and you don't see the playboy next to the kids comics.

When will they change?

Games don't have as graphic covers as the other stuff you mentioned. So i don't see the need.

OP: How would you like it to change?

Dont see what the problem is,it's not like its imposed onto the kids, and they cant even buy it alone.games should be taken more seriously by the parents rather than the stores,if you go into a book store you can find romantic novels, that doesnt mean that they should be taken out.also the effects of games are drastically overrated,i played my first violent game at 9 and it really doesn't affect you unless you're stupid enough to emulate what you do in a game.

If it had something like "Buy GTA IV and get a free My Little Pony" than it would be twisted.

Toys R Us won't sell m-rated games to anyone under 17.UT_Wrestler

And if there like the ones where I live all their M games are in that case behind the clerks.

Agreed. Toy stores should not mix children and mature material. Else, soon they'll be selling porn next to barbies.

But I like pogo sticks, nerf guns, Stratego, and GTA4? Where else can I go to get all these things?

The Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) ratings are designed to provide concise and impartial information about the content in computer and video games so consumers, especially parents, can make an informed purchase decision. ESRB ratings have two equal parts: rating symbols suggest age appropriateness for the game and content descriptors indicate elements in a game that may have triggered a particular rating and/or may be of interest or concern.

http://www.esrb.org/ratings/ratings_guide.jsp

The ratings aren't there to prohibit children from buying the games, they're there to inform the parents of what is in the game.

I'm sick of toy stores selling video games. Video games were practically ment for adults. There is way way more games rated M than E or T.
