Has a 2-player RPG ever been made? I'm looking for one particularly on the PS2, but any system will do. Thanks everyone :)

Other than the regular MMO's then, I assume?
PS2, can't think of one immediatly, but I'm sure they're out there.
Secret Of Mana is usually praised to be the groundbreaker on that field.
Although I have Swords & Serpents on NES that is playable with 4. My brother hates it :D.
Action RPGs a.k.a "Dungeon crawls" if that is what you mean? Then Champions of Norath & Champions Return to Arms, Baulder's Gate Dark Alliance and Baulder's Gate Dark Alliance 2, Or Gauntlet Seven Sorrows and Gaunlet Dark legacy. While not traditional RPGs such as Final Fantasy etc. That is asclose as your going to get.
[QUOTE="GatStevens"]Interesting. The Lord of the Rings: The Third Age
Not the coolest thing ever.

I was going to say the same thing, but yes The Lord of the Rings: The Thrid Age has 2 Player in.

And is it also only the battles or is there more to it?It's EA, so everything is SEVERELY limited. I think there's like 6 characters in total, each player gets control of 3, but you can only battle with 3 at a time. Whichever player is the overworld character moves the whole party around, so two-player functionality is generally limited to battles, which are turn-based. Couple that with the fact that there is basically a finite amount of experience throughout the game and you have a two player RPG that is...
...effing pointless.
The game itself is worth a playthrough if you're a LOTR fan because it parallels the story of the films/books quite nicely. Each time you beat a chapter you can play through it in an 'evil mode', where you replay battles as orcs, goblins etc.., and even some of the bigger, badder baddies from the films. This is an interesting dynamic for sure.
Bottom line, the co-op is pretty damn pointless, although fun if all you have time to kill. Booze helps:)
Origins features I & II. I just saw my copy last week when I retired it :PFinal Fanstasy 2 & 3 both are two players, only in battle though... soo don't know if ya'd wanna get it but I thought I should mention it anyways.
Part 3 is also on PS. I think part 2 is only for SNES though...

2 is actually on the PS as well, besides the ones already mentioned Valkyrie Profile 2 has 2 players but only in battles.
Secret of Mana and Secret of Evermore on the SNES. Final Fantasy 2 or 4 was released on PS1 in the Final Fantasy Chronicles package. It contained FF4 as well as Chrono Trigger. FF 3 or 6 was released on PS1 as Final fantasy anthology. It included FF5 and FF6 plus a soundtrack to both games. Final Fantasy origins released final fantasy 1 and the actual final fantasy 2. The real second final fantasy. All orignal FF's up to 9 except for the actual 3 have been released on the PS1. It is too bad square will not make a collection featuring the other mana game on SNES that was supposed to come out in english as well as western versions of bahamut lagoon and treasure hunter G. They should release the orignal Saga games from the SNES known as Romancing Saga as well. Square screwed the west in the old days quite a bit.
[QUOTE="DJ-Lafleur"]It did? On GC too? I seem to have missed that. I don't remember if any of the other Tales games did, but yet, ToS on GC supported 2-4 players, but only during battles.Tales of Symphonia supported 2-4 players.
Don't remember if any other Tales games do, though.
