I copy paste this post from another thread:
Earthworm Jim-I LOVE this game to death even though I still can't get past that irriatating glass bubble part. One of the funniest games ever made and I love the action and the tough bosses. The hardest games are definitely the better ones in my book. Not to mention how original EJ is. I've said this before a long time ago, but I would love to see them remake Earthworm Jim and make the game look just like the art in the original. While of course making the remake as flashy as the original.
Contra Hard Corps-Greatest sidescroller ever made period period period! The first game I've ever played that had cussing and the action it has is 500X more hardcore than that. I love the variety of characters who have their on set of great weaponsand of course co-op play with my brother. Hard Corps has many exciting levels, multiple paths and endings and many of the absolute best boss fights in video game history!!! I would love to relive the incredibly hard game that take me and my brother weeks to get past the first few enemies and a YEAR to beat. The remake should be a 3D sidescrolling shooter like PS2's Contra and have new versions of the great music from the original. I still have some of the boss fight music stuck in my head. Almost no game ever made has better music.
Shinobi-Sega needs to ditch the stupid buzz around in the air combat that the later versions of Shinobi had and just remake the original (and the first few games). All I have to say about this wanted remake is that I want to play the level with the Moon in the background and the rocks falling down that you had to jump repeatedly jump on to get to the top. One of the most ingenious levels ever made.
Streets Of Rage-The first two are still the best Beat Em Ups of all time and the co-op w/ friends/family was so much fun. If they made SOR1 and 2 into a 3D game and kept all the original moves plus combos and more variety in the weapons that would make to great remakes. And of course I want some better, up to date graphics but they should still keep the arcade feel and look of the originals.
Final Fantasy 8-My favorite FF game and RPG of all time. The graphics would definitely need a lot of improving for the remake. Next, I would want them to make the Draw/Junction System less annoying and give the towns A LOT more variety. They were pretty boring. lol I would want to see a whole lot more minigames and open door places to visit. In fact, the game world needs tons of more interesting places to visit. And also they need to let you go back to major places you visited in the past instead of blocking them off. Doing that always made the game world stale in every FF I played. RPGs are the only games were backtracking is a good thing and Square needs to let go back to important places from earlier in the game and let you find new ppl, minigames, secret bosses/GFs, weapons, magic, entrances to secret areas and much mcuh more. And I want to see some significant changes to towns after you live instead of ppl's dialogue slightly changing. And I want to see the characters in the game get a lot weapons and limit breaks. The amount in the original is laughable. Oh and I want to see a few more characters that I think should have joined the party be apart of it. Even if it's just temporary.
Einhander-Greatest3D sidescrolling shooter of all time. I feel straight in love with it while playing the demo w/ a family of friends that ironically introduced me to the classics Earthworm Jim, Shinobi, Streets Of Rage, Golden Axe and much much more. I've never seen so much great action on a PS1 game before that. Einhander was so much fun when I finally got the game. Many many great boss battles in this one. My personally favorite would have to be the gigantic red flipping robot. Probably the best boss fight of all time. And the music was equally perfect. In the remake I would want Square to obviously update the graphics and power of the game. Besides that I would want to see more multiple paths like in the first level throughout the game. There's nothing like fighting the superpowered version of a boss that made you love the game so much in the first place. And then I would want to see some more weapons (especially secret weapons) and maybe ship types. And of course more great bosses and enemy types. And maybe even a co-op mode. That would be insanely fun.
Devil May Cry-I know this game is far from old and has aged perfectly but I would want a remake to my favorite game of all time for one thing, BLOODY PALACE MODE!!! Since Devil May Cry has the best enemies out of any game ever created, Bloody Palace would be nonstop fun. But besides that, I would want to see DMC get top notch graphics and power and get the problems with the controls and camera fixed. The controls should definitely be more like DMC3's with the two change buttons and more. Plus I want to be able to link Alastor and Ifrit combos with ease. Plus I want to play as Trish and use the acrobatics moves they wanted her to have before they run out of time to make her playable. And she should be armed with her own set of unique moves and powers and visit only places in Hell/the island/the mansion that Dante never sees. Having her fought never before seen enemies would also be nice. And I want Sparda to get the same kind of treatment. Especially NOT having everyone pretend his Dante during cutscenes. Just The Dark Knight himself.
