8 player co-op games? I need suggestions

I'm writing a novel and the main characters are Gamers and I need a game for all 8 characters to play together. I was going to use StarWars BattleFront 2 (The original not EA's). But I have already had the game make an appearance in my book and want more variety. what games support 8 player co-op? or allow 8 players to play against bots? Thanks in advance.

know Log Horizon Anime ? try "Return of Warrior" there's 2 nations at war there, you can divide that 8 into 2 factions

the strongest 4 for the other faction and another the strongest 4 for the remaining faction :D
