This has been on my mind for a while now so I thought I'd see what some of my fellow gamer's thoughts were on the subject. Me, I usually play from 3-5 games at a time. Right now I've got 4 games going:

Burnout: Revenge, Naruto: Ultimate Ninja, Custom Robo, and Fatal Fury Battle Archives vol. 1

Some days I can't even squeeze in some playtime for each game I've got because I've got to tend to other things plus I work 6 days a week. Just not enough hours in the day. Sometimes I wonder if 4-5 is too many games to be playing at a time. How about the rest of you?

I usually only focus on one game until I finish it. However, I sometimes go two if one game is for multiplayer purposes while the other is a single player experience.

I try to keep it to one a system. But it is usually for games that I am trying to get through main stories; If I I am playing a score attack game or one that I play with a friend or online, I don't usually count it. For example, I am trying to complete Ratchet and Clank (PS3), Bioshock (X360) and Metroid Prime 3 Wii). But I am also playing the Guitar Hero Series ( I switch between I, II,III and the 80s) on PS2 and Tekken 5 on PS3. I will also play Halo3 on the 360 so that I have something to do with my cousins.

That's how I do it. It's fun to move between systems, but keeping the pile of "In Progress" games low helps me get through them .I haven't bought a 360 game in awhile, as I really want to finish Bioshock. Storywise, 3 or 4 is ok for me. If its for keeping my skills up, 2 - 3. I hope i am clear here.

I only play one story-driven game at a time, but I can play one or two multiplayer/strategy/racing games alongside it. I can't really get a good grip on a game if I play a billion other games at the same time, and it only means I'll never get around to finishing any of them. I like to pace myself. I also generally try to avoid playing two games in the same genre in succession, I believe variety is key to keeping gaming fresh at all times.

I play aRPG game with tons of cut scenes and one button moveson my console/TV, with my right hand on the mouse/keyboard playing a FPS or RTS on my PC, and my DS turned on for quick moves on a puzzle game during long loading times. And I watch a UMD on my PSP as well. :P

Kidding aside, that's how I basically use to be, confused, don't know what to play, too many games on different consoles.

But now I'm getting in the habit of playing one major game at a time on one of my big rigs which is either a PC or console. But when it comes to handhelds, I play whatever I'm in the mood since handheld games are more casual.

One thing I can't do is have two RPGs going at once. It just never works for me. This is the one genre I have to do one game ata time on.

I usually focus on the "campaign" of sorts on one game, and then I play a bunch of other like, pick up and play games. Games I could easily play for a half hour at a time. Such as Guitar Hero, multiplayer games like TF2 and CoD2, fighters, sports games, racing games, and basically any game where the story mode isnt all that important.

I guess it depends on how loosely you define "at a time" I usually play: -Main console game -Main handheld game -Secondary handheld game -Some random game that gets played once a week

I have always tried to focus on one at a time. Over the past several months, I've taken on far too many games to handle at once and not got around to finishing most of them. Even with all the releases this winter, I'm still going to limit myself to one or two at a time.

It is far better to fully enjoy one game then partially enjoy ten.

I tend to focus on one or two games at a time, but there are situations where I may play four and five games that I've already beaten, and play them in short spurts, when I don't have time or feel like spending a lot of time on one particular game.

I try to keep it to one game at a time per system. I have a Wii, DS, PSP that I play regularly and a PS2 that I'll play occasionally. But lately Super Mario Galaxy is eating up all my time. :P

I usually have about 3 games in my primary rotation--meaning I swap between them on a daily basis--and another 4 to 8 games on the backburners, which generally means playing them only a bit every month or two. After that comes the backlog, which stretches over years.

Currently, my 3 main games are Team Fortress 2, ADOM, and Picross.

I like my games much like my women. Lots of them and a plethora of variety all at one time. I kid. I kid. :P

Actually,as of late I have had only time for one game. one woman, one job, and one kick. The one kick you will have to just figure out for yourself.

I am like UpInFlames to where I have to really get into a story driven game by only focusing on that game. If it is a game I can just pick up and play easily such as Guitar Hero or Street Fighter then I can play those alongside that particular game. Often times I play those latter games mentioned to balance out the deep game I am heavily involved with to round my gaming experience out.

Usually about 3 or 4 at a time. Generally, the game that gets the main focus will either be a game that I've been dying to play, like when Bioshock came out, or something that's going to generate a lot of play time. In most cases, some sort of RPG, usually MMO. I try to squeeze in playtime with a few others here and there.

Just one at a time. To be honest it's just too much effort switching games around. I also teend to be a little obsessed with the game I am currently playing, in that it will tend to occupy my thoughts, particularly if I'm stuck.

I'll keep one game in a system per time, and I jump around whatever games are installed on my PC depending on my mood.

(I do break it up with a one week binge on whatever game I get with my monthly free game rental coupon at Blockbuster...)

I am like many of the folks here in that I try to keep to one story-driven game ata time. Multiple RPG's at one time will devour your life before you know it.

Usually two. I prefer to concentrate on fewer games at once especially if they are RPG's or story driven games.

Due to my job, I usually have to play more than three at a time. Ideal for me would be a diet that consists of an MMORPG ora fighting game and a story-driven action game or an RPG at the same time.
