I thinkan open world Action RPG Bleach game would be fun. I dont know if I would want ichigo to be the main character, maybe just some random person you create. Start off in a normal life and eventually turn into a Soul Reaper then go from there..kinda like the show

I think it would be awesome if you started as a player created soul reaper, learning in school like Renji and Rukia before becoming a full soul reaper and then maybe a captain.

Nobody would go develop such game. There's one Bleach fighting game on the PSP, which was successful enough to make them create more of the same I think.

The problem is, anime isn't entirely mainstream, and anime games is even less mainstream, which is why they can't risk following a different formula.

I don't know about the RPG parts. If by RPG you just mean you can improve your character's abilities, I agree with that. The anime is pretty much just people going off and fighting non-stop. When they tell a story it's while people are beating the crap out of each other and immediately after they are beating the crap out of someone else. I'd rather it be an open world/arena action or fighting game with support for a lot of people fighting each other at once, which is how the show usually works. You can interrupt other fights, which happens all the time in Bleach, and as you beat people you get to fight people on a higher level and gain new abilities or higher powers.

I cant really stand straight fighting games, although I was addicted to Mortal Kombat in my younger days. I tried playing that one game where you can be Yoda or Darth Vader and I threw my controller and broke my window ;d

The Bleach anime is almost 100% 1 vs 1 fights though. I think you want something like Naruto. That's an anime where 4-man squads go on missions to take out opponents and use strategies and tactics. I think that fits better as an action-rpg than Bleach.

What I meant was I hate fighting game with no story, its just fight after fight after fight. I like me some running around and storytelling.
