A Final Fantasy rhythm game? Really Square Enix?

I can't believe they are doing like this, but they are...you can read the report here.

Look, I'm all for experimentation, as long as it is done right, but please Square Enix, stop wasting your time with stamping the Final Fantasy name on other genres and make a proper Final Fantasy game for a change!

Would be better if they had spent more time on their current games and made them better before releases crap like this.

Yeah, Square's really over-using that brand. Seems like it's their go-to with any new idea they get these days. Hey, Square, here's an idea; why not try making a new IP for these little experiments?

Talk about a day late and a dollar short! Rhythm games were popular two YEARS ago Square! Have the Final Fantasy delays disrupted their sense of time altogether? What's next? Final Fantasyville?

It could be cool if they did the rhythm sections for battles and the rest of it was like a normal RPG.

Though, the vibe I'm getting is its entirely a rhythm based game. Which is fine ...but it diminishes the Final Fantasy brand.

Didn't Guitar Hero being put on break indefinitely let you know the state of rythm-games.

Even if they did tune out an awesome game why bother putting the Final Fatansy label on it

Like it or not this is where the industry is heading. Capcom's stamping Resident Evil on everything, Konami's doing that with Metal Gear Solid, and Squeenix has Final Fantasy. At least we'll always have the classics to fall back on. Oh yeah and count on seeing those ported and remade every generation.istuffedsunny

I'd rather be playing either the remakes or the originals of the older FF titles than having to sit through this kind of garbage. I didn't mind Chocobo Racing at the time because it was a little different from Square and they were testing the waters, seeing if it worked for them or not. Now it just seems like they are milking the franchise for what it's worth.
