A game like Abes Odyssey (PS1)?

i really enjoyed abes odyssey on the playstation back in the days but i havent found a game like it. Something with a bit of puzzling, a bit of adventure, a bit of game skills (getting the jumps right etc) and lots of humor. Are there any other games that have these qualifications?

I would recommend Beyond Good and Evil on the PC/PS2/Xbox/GC. It's not 2D, but it has a similar blend of stealth/action/timing/exploration/storytelling.

Think you'll enjoy these two, Norse by Norsewest (Lost Vikings 2) & Heart of Darkness; both available on the Playstation 1. :)

These similar, altrough old, but brilliant games:

Another World (or Out of this World)- Simply a phenomenal game nobody played.

Flashback ( something like that) - a game strongly inspired by the game above, it has a nice background story and good puzzles
