A Genre of Gaming You Hate...

Sport games like football, but not racing games, they are ok. I don't know why, I just don't like them

There's no genre I'd say I HATE, but I have fonud very little enjoyment in FPSs and get bored of the Halos, CoDs and Killzones within 15 minutes of playing them.

Similarly I can never seem to enjoy JRPGs, except Pokemon. I got very bored of the few FF games I've tried, and didn't get anywhere with the mother series or Chrono Trigger and have just come to accept that it's just not for me.

Racing (Except NFSMW for the story)

I wouldn't say hate, but sometimes I think games like Professor Layton are blown out of proportion.

i don't see the point in hating any genre. seems like a waste of time to me. if i don't like something i don't play it. im guessing all you with a strong hate towards a genre are teenagers

I just cannot get myself into the platformer genre (e.g. Little Big Planet) :(

My favourite genres are role-playing games (e.g. Dragon Age Origins), sandbox action games (e.g. Red Dead Redemption)or sport games (e.g. UFC 2010)

If they hadn't hammed the controls, the game would be much better. Ponys in real life can run parents upwards of three hundred dollars.

Stealth is my favourite genre, loved Batman, loved Theif. Ive never got into JRPG's soI suppose that would be my 'Hate'. Although Resonance Of Fate looks cool. Would it be sensible to play that if ive never enjoyed a JRPG before?

While I enjoy Killzone 2 I don't particulary like first person shooters normally. Most of them all just seem the same to me. I also hate how popular they are despite how boring they can be and how often you'll run into jerks online that will just use the missle launcher or shotgun.

JRPG's. I don't like the over-emotional cliché characters, just like I dislike anime.

I hate JRPGs and hate regular RPG's. I didn't hate Borderlands for some reason. But I just hate JRPGS because I absolutely hate the characters. I'm sorry, but I hate the genre. There is no other genre I hate more than JRPG's. Hate them. Just Hate them.

The sports genre. Never cared for most titles. Music type games like Rock Band I could never get into either.

I despise most stealth games.

One genre I am just not a fan of (hate is to strong of a word) is fighters. Just not my thing.

Shooters!!! OMG hate em hate em hate em....Its like the band wagon game. Does anyone remember Duck Hunt and Hogans Alley? Or the games on the Master System that used the Light Phaser? If you want to do a shooter right do it with a light gun not a joy stick....where is the fun in that? I missed all of Gen 5 & a lot of Gen 6 so Im a little old school but jezz these games get on my nerves.

I simplycan't get into FPSs.All I see is FPS on shelves. They have consumed the RPG genre.

can't really say I hate a genre at all.

I don't play sports games and have a hard time getting into WRPG

Sports games are not for me, but I can't really say that I hate them. I don't really care about sports at all, so I'm hardly the target audience. Overall, I guess I'd say I dislike the FPS genre the most. Outside of the Doom series, I've never played one that I really enjoyed. Fear was marginal. I liked the story, but hated the FPS combat. I've tried numerous other FPS games, and while I can recognize the elements that make some of them popular and even good games, they just don't connect with me. I can enjoy pretty much any other kind of game, though.

I can't say I hate the genre, but RTS I can't be getting along with sometimes. I play Command & Conquer and AOE from time to time, but only on freeplay modes. I don't like to do the actually campaigns. I don't really like Tactics games either. I had Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, and I enjoyed it up until the point I wasn't allowed to use anything at all in battle, or it at least felt like it.

MMORPG's and RPG's that play like MMORPG's. I like the idea of improving your character, doing quests, and all that RPG stuff. But beating countless identical monsters just to get some shoes that give you +6 speed instead of +4 speed is not my thing. A game has to be fun to play. If it has good RPG elements but the combat is truly boring, then it's not a good game.
