can anyone out there explain to me,why is it so dificult to make a real ninja stealth game!?i mean i love the tenchu series well i did.but then splinter cell arose, the character sam fisher in some ways perform acts that one would think a ninja would.the hiding the climbing hanging from ceilings and ext.now all one would have to do is place a katana instead of thatmulti purpose mechine gun on his back, take away that army knife and place a shutto there.give the player the option(like in the original arcade game shinubi)1st person view showing hands holding starblades, like if your in snipper mode.i mean really.....what was fromsoftware thinking????????????????taking the tenchu name!!!!and doing that!!!?if someone just take some ideas from the splintercell series still keep the stealth killz from wrath of heavenwith a manhunt twist,do actual research on ninja combat and and their secret art of stealth.I MEAN HOW HARD CAN IT BE..........REALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, I personally never cared for Tenchu, and although Ninja Gaiden is fun, there's no stealth action aspect of the game. I'm very surprised that there have never been any REALLY GOOD ninja stealth games considering what a huge market there is for it. Atleast, I would think there is a huge market...

my fellow gamer,i agree on half of that.the first tenchu for ps1 was good!it was the 1st game that placed a player in the stealth genre.then came metal gear solid.then tenchu wrath of heaven which was 4 the ps2 & xbox which was better then the 1st one.i followed the series up to this installment, tenchu z!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!????? now i am a tenchu fan.(i mean was!!!)tenchu z is better than it's 1st two games at certain areas.the story line isn't one of them.and i'll ask this also!if you have both series tenchu & splinter-cell,play them both then tell me if the makers of splinter-cell didn't make a ninja game!!!?they just took away the swords and the other stuff.

I do NOT recommend Velvet Assassin, it's a terrible stealth game, avoid it like the plague

Stealth games are just not that popular to the overall gaming population. Most people play for the fast paced never stop hitting a trigger type gameplay. But hey I'm with you guys, I love the strategy and thinking element stealth games present. I too wish game developers would work harder on making great stealth games. If I saw a good stealth ninja game I would definitely get it.

It's a direction I wish the assassins creed franchise would push more towards, along with social stealth.

I love all types of games and the stealth games are a lot of fun (ever since I played Metal Gear Solid on the PS1 anyway) and Tenchu isn't too bad either. I've only played the first one on the PS1 and it was a blast.:)

lol at assassins creed being a stealth game the combat is so easy and near impossible to die that even thinking of that game as a stealth one is laughble

i think those kinds of games are dead sadly i mean the last few tenchu games have been putting nails in that coffin metal gear is basically finished assassins creed isnt a stealth game then the new splinter cell turned into 24 the video game

Talking about stealth games in general, I really don't like the direction the genre is going in. Even the new Hitman sounds much more streamlined (you even have some sort of x-ray vision now, what.the.hell)
