Long have I waited for a fighting game to come out that is not filled with hadukens, panda bears, females, and a stupid story.

Why do fighting games do this? Why have goofy stuff to sell your game? I want to see a game based off a underground fight scene. Fighters from around the world fighting to be the best. No devils, no taking over the world, no bs. A roster full of men like real life. All based on different fighting styles like karate, muay thai, kung fu, ect ect. Keep the fighting system like tekken without the crazy juggles. Like i said the theme is what should be realistic. The gameplay should be fun but should also make sense like tekken without the juggles.

Who is with me?

Women are actually capable of winning against men in combat.

You mean like UFC or Wrestling ?

Realism is Boring mate....

Also DoA has a few Plausible fighting Scenarios so long as you stay far far away from the Teleporting Ninjas, pit Bayman against say Bass and Tell me thats not realistic... !

A well placed kick to the testicles should do the trick.

@Omega-316: Almost all of the "realistic" fighting games will be based on a combat sport. The UFC games, various boxing titles, etc. There was also a series of PS1 games called "Bushido Blade" which were realistic sword fighting games. Realistic as in you get hit with a sword once and you die. Fights were frequently over in seconds. It was a blast.

when you say you want a game not filled with females...you mean not focused on a sexual gimmick right? because a fighting game should involve both sexes if your going for realism

Don't they already have games like that? Anyway I greatly prefer the unrealistic fighting games and those are the only ones I purchase so they're nothing that I'd personally want to get.

They tried the realistic fighting game thing with the original virtua fighter. My arcade had a wall of these cabinets and they were pretty much always empty...meanwhile, you couldn't get on Primal Rage or MK or games like that without putting up a quarter. So...they're just not popular enough. I remember Square tried a realistic fighter in Bushido Blade, where you could actually kill pretty quickly...yeah, can't say I played that more than five minutes. Dynasty Warriors was actually originally a realistic fighter before it become the brawler it is today. Just not a lot of selling power without over the top action. The UFC games are pretty much it.

When you think about it, movies are the same way. When I was growing up, it was all Ice-picks to the face and "Remember when I said i was gonna kill you last?"...nowadays it's fake-ass kung fu from choreographers trained in an opera house. What are you gonna do?

A trained female vs a average dude? Yes. But why would there be a bunch of joe shmoes in a fighting game? A equally trained male will always beat up any female. That is just a biological fact.

Actually no. Realism is do not let a woman fight a man. The only time you have females fight is if you have a female only division. But again, this is a "street fighting/underground" game. Creating divisions would make thing a mess. It would be better to just do without them.

Actually if theres no rules then a chick can win, like in a bar fight or street brawl, she can grab an improvised weapon and stab a dude with it.

No rules yes. I'm talking about unarmed organized combat.

@BranKetra: I know, right? The devs of BB have come out with many games since BB2 but none of them have had the "one hit one kill" concept.

You can play UFC games and pretend you're taking over the world. Or Virtua Fighter I guess would be more what you're talking about.

Well a very realistic street fighting game would either involve you getting beaten up by the one guy you were about to fight and five of his friends that jumped in, or you and a bunch of friends beating up one guy.

@Omega-316: I get what your saying. Divisions would be a mess I just feel bad excluding woman. I understand in society a man should never hit or fight a woman but if were talking about a sport in a video game, I dont see the big deal if the game had woman fighting men. I wish a woman would weigh in tell give her opinion.

Nah, I'd rather have a fighting game with a good story, diverse cast of characters, many game modes on and offline.

@Omega-316: You would have to get the xbox original cause i don't know if they ever brought it to the XBLA, but you're looking for Def jam: Fight for new york. That was more realistic, with plenty of different fighting styles you can customize. You will be fighting against rapper like fat Joe, and created people, but its was a great great game, I made a couple of character different martial art styles, and loved whooping down rappers I hated, so if you don't mind going back to the original there you go, or you would like fight night round 3 or round 5.
