Just 10 minutes before this post,i was playing pokemon firered, and i was facing the rival, Gary again, in cerulian city(the one misty's in).my pikachu K.O.ed pidgeyotto with relative ease, but was K.O.ed by rattata. Wartortle pwned ratatta with a few mega punches, but then was K.Oed without dealing ANY damage to bulbasuar. My last pokemon, Kakuna(level 7) was the only oneleft(other than a level 6 rattata),so i said''....i'm doomed!''But little did i know what would happen.i sent out kakuna(named Beebud), and the foe used sleep powder,so kakuna lost it's turn, but shed skin made it wake up!The foe then used vine whip, but kakuna still had 13/24 health!then, poison sting did rather small damage, and poisoned it! Then bulbasuar kept using sleep powder, which Beebud kept shedding off. Unbelevably, bulbasuar eventually died from poison!(Beebud leveled up to level 8 on a side note)Then,Gary sent out his last pokemon, abra, which only knew teleport!I used poison sting rapidly against the level 16,and the 2nd time it hit poisoned abra(abra's syncronise ability failed, sence Beebud was a poison-type bug)! Eventually, abra died(teleport never worked because abra was the last member on the foe's party)!(Beebud went to level 9,which later i fought a wild rattata with it to evolve it)Lesson learned:Big suprises can come is small packages!

i might add that, as shown by the title, this is not made up at ALL. It's all the real deal from Pokemon Firered!

What? This seems like a relatively normal pokemon event. What was special may I ask?

The special thing about it is that it simply defies almost all odds. It's a Kakuna, level 7, facing a Bulbasaur, level ~16. Even if both of Kakuna's types super effect Grass types (bug & poison), the main problems are levels, stats, and moves. Every pokemon raises stats differently, even same species. All Kakuna knew was Harden, String Shot, and Poison Sting. The only attack that does damage out of those is poison sting, and that is an extremely low amount of damage, lower leveled or not. Poison Sting has a ~10% chance of poisoning the foe - usually failing to have little effect, in other words.another significant thing is that the Bulbasaur didn't use Vine Whip often - one more attack from it, and the Kakuna would faint. The Abra, on the other hand, was simple: Abra only knows Teleport. Teleport in trainer battles swaps it out for another pokemon, similar to simply going to the "pokemon" option and choosing to shift pokemon. Abra was the last pokemon, so therefore, teleport was useless, giving all the time in the world for Kakuna to finally win the battle.
