A underage teen almost dies from playing CodMW3 for four days straight

A Ohio teen was sent to hospital after a severe case of dehydration after having a CODMW3 marathon for 4 days.He took no breaks besides a shower and a snack break.His mom took his xbox from him after this happened.

That's exaclty what I asked...bad parenting.

I am forever grateful that I did not grow up with a mother like that.

As I said in the comments to it, Anyone who plays a game for 4 days and prioritises that over their body's needs and urges deserves to be hospitalised. We all love games but when it takes presedence over your actual life you have some problems. Also where the hell were the parents? Above all that I couldn't even play CoD for 4 hours let alone 4 days :P

That game, or the Xbox itself, should've been taken away a little earlier. Don't let your child sit in front of the TV for such durations. You gotta monitor that.

How do these people even manage to do this? Last weekend, I played TF2 for about 5 hours and I took various bathroom breaks, and grabbed something to eat and/or drink at least 3 times. Even after that, I didn't feel too dandy. But 96 hours with 2 breaks?

Of course, I'm also amazed at how the parents did not notice this.

This sums up my thoughts exactly. Don't get me wrong sometimes I will spend an entire day playing a game stopping for meals and bathroom breaks and such. But I'm not going to play for numerous days in a row. Hell I even still get enough sleep. I love gaming but to let it control you like that... yeesh.

Another reason to hate Activision :P
