The thing is, I always thought the Ace Combat series for the PS2 looked super-realistic already, so the graphical improvements for the 360 won't be too significant, other than cleaner textures and less jaggies. But I do want to see how the mountain terrains in the 360 version will look like. I bet it will be breathtaking.
I think for this game, since the graphics were already amazing, I think what needs to be improved is the gameplay itself and the story.

I've always really enjoyed the Ace Combat games and this one is certainly looking pretty awesome so unless something catastrophic happens AC6 is a gauranteed purchase for me. I'd love to get the package with the flight stick included.
This thread is confusing. Wasn't 'The Belkan War' - Ace Combat 6? Shouldn't this new one be 7? Looks great anywaybugsonglass
Yeah things do get pretty confusing with these games and their numbering sometimes. Anyway The Belkan War was called Ace Combat Zero so that could explain things and why this one is now number 6.
It's a decent series, very reminiscent of the old PC stalwarts Wing/Strike Commander. The AC 06 demo played reasonably well, even though no significant changes are made.
The visuals are nothing short of astounding. I've been playing the demo in the local game stores and it's a great game. The controls aren't too complex yet there is still a large amount of realism. EDIT: I also found the voice acting to be a little more manageable than what the trailers led me to believe. I guess it has to be more melodramatic to keep the emotions flowing.
