I mean, in the past I figured it was an in-justice that it didn't see the light of day. But after looking more throughly at images and clips of the beta I'm really glad it got canned. I dunno I feel like the technology wasn't there yet. I had alot of fun with 3D Blast on my Saturn back in the day and I don't think Xtreme would've served the same purpose if you will. I believe that it would've been a flop similar to Bubsy 3D.

Thoughts?

I agree, Sonic Xtreme didn't look like it would be a very good game, but I do think the Saturn should have hada 3D sonic game.

the best example of a 3D sonic on the Saturn would have to be the Sonic world section of Sonic Jam , fair enough, its only one level, but it shows what a 3D sonic could have been like.

likewise Sonic R was a 3D sonic game, but it was a racing game, though a 3D sonic game using that graphics engine would have been good.

In the past I was a Sonic fan but...

They just don't suit me now.

But I have the ''Mega Sonic Collection'' On Xbox. So that kinda means i still am a Sonic fan. Well a bit.
