aside the recommendations above (specially tales of the abyss): shadow hearts series smt: nocturne (if you like this check out digital devil saga 1 and 2 and devil summoner series. but nocturne is a must ) rogue galaxy dragon quest 8 ffx2 kingdom hearts series disgaea series suikoden 3 and 5 and maybe 4 if you are a diehard fan. odin sphere growlanser series grandia 3
Shadow Hearts and Shadow Hearts: Covenant, From the new world is okay, I guess.... but was a let down, as far as I'm concerned. Breath of Fire: Dragon Quarter Tales of the Abyss Valkyrie Profile 2 Ar Tonelico 2 (not for those that want eye candy, and has a glitched battle that must be beaten within 3 turns; right before the final battle.) Fatal Frame I, II, III (although not rpg's) Haunting Ground (not really a rpg...) Xenosaga Ep3 Okami (not really a rpg) Metal Gear Solid 3 (not really a rpg) Steambot Chronicals SMT Devil Summoner 2 SMT Digital Devil Saga I & 2 SMT Nocturne Shadow of the Colossus (not really a rpg) ICO (not really a rpg) Disaster Report & Raw Danger...
