i was playing quantum conundrum, and i cant play that game for more than an hour be4 a headache starts a knockin. same thing with lumines, and Katamari.

i thinks its the colors, and in the case of quantum, the sound (those lasers pierce my ears). which is a shame cause i really enjoy all three of those games, i play alot of games and even tho some others give me a headache (usually handhelds) its not as common as those three titles. i was an hour into a game of lumines and i was just praying to die cause my head was a bumpin :P its not that big an issue, just i dont like playing a game KNOWING its gonna give me a headache

any games give you a headache (or just physically sick in general), and do you know the reason?

For me, Its an open world RPG (Final Fantasy XIII gran pulse) where you constantly run into an enemy thats stronger than you. A hint or sign posting would be nice. And for my friend, well he has no "confusion endurance" and breaks into a migrane everytime things dont add up with in 5 minutes. Poor bastard.

I really liked Half-Life 2, but something about it always gave me motion sickness.

Only time I ever get a headache is when I play too long.

I get that with old shooters like Doom and Wolfenstein. I think it's because of the framerate + the wobbly camera combined with the dark environment and narrow hallways with the paper walls.

On rare occasion I have suffered from motion sickness while gaming. Typically from FPS or racing games.

Some games on 3DS with 3D slider all the way up. Maybe I played them for too long.

I got that a little bit in Half-Life. Never in Half-Life 2, though. Also, I consistently got bad headaches playing one of the Quake 2 expansion packs. Funny, I had no issues playing Quake 2. It's just the expansion that gave me headaches. I'm not sure why. You'd think that wouldn't happen since they both used the same textures and color combinations and stuff. Anyway, those are just the two examples that come to mind. I know some people have a big problem with headaches while playing videogames, but it's never been an issue for me aside from a few rare exceptions.

Metro 2033 came closer than any other game to giving me a headache and it really messed with my eyes. I think it's because the default FOV was something low like 55. When I can adjust it I usually play with a FOV of 100. That is a very big difference and looks a lot more "in your face" and squished at 55.

Gears of War did this to me. It was weird. It only lasted for a few minutes, maybe one hour, and then I was able to play the game fine.

Battlefield 3, probably from the ultra realistic sound and graphics, and from all the focus you need to put in; when should i crouch, who should I engage, is my weapon reloaded. It's an intense game, and I'm glad I quit it though, wasted too much time on that multiplayer. I believe BF3 is as realistic as graphics should get though, seriously, it's a game, don't over do it.

Call of Duty.

Modern shooters are so over-done.

I get a headache whenever I play CoD because it makes me think of how the gaming industry is going down the toilet.

Do you mean annoyance headaches or physiological headaches? EDIT: My bad, I should've read the OP properly.

Either way, neither for me, but FPSes give my friend both sorts for some reason :P

I usually get headaches when I play tough platformers, I think because I'm not that good at them so I have to really concentrate. Using my brain gives me a headache apparently.

Dishonored strained my eyes a bit and gave me a small headache. Probably because of my sh*tty SD tv though.

It can happen when I play longer at once than I should (like 3+ hours), but games that come to mind that can just give my headaches are the Guitar Hero and Rock Band games. Got sick of playing them long ago so it's not a bother anymore.

3D TV makes me dizzy

No I don't have epilepsy but this might trigger it.
