Any games with realistic continuity?

I saw this unanwsered topic a while ago, and it piqued my curiosity.

'My GF is enjoying FABLE The Lost Chapters, with its realistic touches of day/night cycles and the marital relationship. Fable 2 is reported to including child-bearing and playing a child as one's character. She loves the Sims also. Are there any games which combine the two formats- having realistic continuity such as developing relationships, permanent injury or scarring from battle,
aging, even mundane details like hair & beard growth? '

That is an interesting post. Off the top of my head, I know more exist, but I can't think of any just now. I like the phrase so much though -- realistic continuity.

I mean GTA has that continuity if you leave it on (the day night cycles, the relationships) -- particularly in GTA4. With the whole, if you turn down a friend for dinner or whatever over time they go cold on you (why do they always cal when I have just driven 10 minutes to get somewhere -- or when I am in the middle of an epic mission?)
