If not I'm just wondering how they come up with there prices for when there buying games from you. I understand it's store policy and all that but I got 30 cents for Madden '02. That's like a insult, at least give me a dollar.
Sports games become obsolete so quickly that you should be lucky they didn't just offer to dispose of Madden 02 free of charge. (OK, I'm somewhat kidding.)
Basically, they offer you just enough to make you feel like it's worth it to just go ahead and do the trade-in after you've brought all your used games to the store, rather than going back home and selling them on eBay or whatever.
So, after you sold that game, did you enjoy your package of Juicy Fruit?
Seriously, why would you even bother selling it if you were only offered 30 cents? :?

I agree, I will never sell my games. I plan to insure my collection and pass it onto my children when I die. I want my kids to play these games and my classics on the NES and SNES before they play their new hippity hop games.
I used to work there (left due to college) and I have to say that their trade system is a big rip. Example: You purchase a brand new freshly released game, take Prince of Persia for instance, you beat it in say 8 days. You want to trade it in and you are guaranteed to not receive more than 40% of the value (that may be too much). There have been plenty of instances where i see that people don't like or have beaten an absolutely new game which they paid 64 dollars for, and receive 15-20, or on the rare occasion 25 for their game.
there's a lot of controversy surrounding this topic, but ultimately, it's your choice if you want to sell it or not. Besides, 15-25 bucks for a game that would otherwise be sitting on your shelf collecting dust is a good way to keep yourself up to date with newer games while keeping your costs down. Hell, if you're not happy with the offers, you could always do ebay or craigslist.
What really bugs me is when they re-sell it for much more than they paid you. I tried to sell a few 360 games to them the other day and they only offered me $2 for each one. But I saw these on their shelves being sold used for $19.99! Not new, USED! :evil:
Last january I bought a brand new ps2 for $129.99. This july i asked gamestop how much i would get for they said $45.00 Less than 6 months old and only $45.00 out of $129.99. Needless to say, I kept it
