Anybody else thinks the AC franchise is way too easy?

To clear things up: I do like the story. It's amazing, original (as far as I know) and very very interesting. The music? Awesome, very fitting and well made.

Now that you've read the good parts, I'll say what in my opinion is a game changing flaw: the actual gameplay. You'd think that controlling an assassin and jumping from building to building and climbing walls and assassinating targets and sneaking around would have been tough, right? Wrong. Not only that, but in combat you could hypothetically face millions of enemies and fight them off. How? Because they charge you two at a time max, and even then you can counter attack them. In my opinion, that makes the game completely unchallenging, thus boring, and it makes it more of a movie than a game

I find it actually a challenge to get 100 percent synchronization in every mission. I rarely do. The combat is pretty basic though I agree.

Assassin's Creed's never been especially difficult. I thought it was easy to be overwhelmed in Assassin's Creed 4, but the tide could always be easily turned by countering a bunch. Never bothered me, really. The sheer act of moving through the environment is entertaining enough to make up for that.

If I wanted to play something really challenging, I've got plenty of other games to turn to.

Depends. Getting everything in the games is never easy at all, although combat itself is never ever challenging. Also, getting 100% on missions is just more annoying than anything now. It was a cool idea but it's too much now. But the games are more about enjoying the world than challenging the player. I never thought it was a big deal.

Assassin's Creed is one of the easiest franchises around. Its saving grace is the great amount of content that seems to be designed to thrive in such a difficulty setting which works and Ubisoft knows it.

Hmm, don't think the difficulty level has been changed, think its the change in mechanics and how the game works that might be confused with being easier. But you might be right that it has been dumped down to "broaden the Appeal"

So? You're supposed to be a badass in games like Assassin's Creed and Batman. Games like those are supposed to make you feel like you can take on a million guys and fend them off as long as you know how to use your tools and skills correctly as a gamer. Why is that a problem?

I don't think the game is too easy - making the combat or stealth sequences harder would only lead to frustration, because they're not particularly fun unless you're racing through them/constantly moving/not replaying segments over and over.

No, I think the series' biggest flaw is that they're all Assassin's Creed games. The worst part of each game is (by far!) the running story/modern segments.

For example, Blag Flag would be a much better game without that French guy frequently asking you how your pirate game is going, and it really doesn't need those completely out-of-place and out-of-character office espionage bits. And I don't remember giving Desmond's story the slightest attention during the Assassin Creed 2 games...they just slowed everything down, and detracted from an otherwise-partly-interesting historical adventure.

They want the game for everyone , not everyone likes tough missions , i recommend 100% synchronization for u ....which is really challenging!
