It's hard to get excited for it when the only information we've been given about it so far is that it does, in fact, exist.
I would be if I knew anything about it. o_o
All I know is that Link is going to be the main character...and he weilds a sword+shield, finds projectile weapon later and a magical musical instrument or device, and that it takes place in a land called Hyrule, or a land similar to Hyrule (like Koholint or Termina), and that he defeats some evil force at the end that may or may not be Ganon(dorf).
They've said that the gameplay is gonna be changed, probably 'mainstreamed', equivalent example would be Sunshine to SMG were the big change was open world to linearity.
Generally I like it, but it's hard to tell how they are gonna apply something like that in a Zelda game. Since it's Nintendo, I'm excited.
Firstly I would like to see the removal of "find item X to be able to find item Y so I can find item Z" formula of progression. It's just not fun anymore, and considering what could be done with the hardware I hope Miyamoto finds some way to fundamentally change how the game is played.
Maybe if it was announced first.RK-Mara
It has been announced already at E3 2009. It's supposedly to come out Q4 2010 but with Metroid: Other M delayed it does not look like it's coming this year. Also Wii Motion Plus is confirmed to be used in the game. Working title is Zelda Wii. There's an artwork pic aswell just google it.
