I liked them. Clean, crisp, simple. A bit pixelated.

Yep absolutely loved it! 2-D games and 3-D games are totally different sometimes when it comes to the fun factor so eh I don't know I never played the newer starcraft games seen them though.
I DO!!!! Starcraft 1 just ruled any strategy game anyone has ever tried making (except maybe wcraft 2 who was equivalent). Anyone who is a Warcraft 3 basher here, raise their hands lol!!!!! :-D
I don't prefer the graphics, necessarily, but I do prefer the art style. If Starcraft II had somehow eschewed 3D graphics (impossible in this age, but let's speculate) and instead made an updated Starcraft engine with very high-resolution textures, I think it would look gorgeous. The current 3D engine they've shown is nothing special by any means, though that is intentional - they want the game to run on as many PC's as possible. It does look a tiny bit cartoony, though not to the degree of Warcraft III was very cartoony. I found it strange that Warcraft III went with that art design, since the cinematics were done in a very realistic style, with brutal violence and such.
I don't care about graphics, as long as the game itself is amazing. Unless we are talking about the look of the game (like, cartoony like Warcraft 3 or not) then, I really don't mind it either way.
