I have too many games that I haven't been able to play because another game would come along and rob me of my attention. For start I have yet to finish: Lair, Grand Theft Auto 4, Folklore, Super Mario Galaxy, RE: Umbrella Chronicles, Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, God of War 2, Onimusha, Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy IV, Final Fantasy IX, Final Fantasy X, Final Fantasy X-2... and I'm sure there's plenty more I haven't listed but yeah, I get distracted easily.

Right now I got distracted from Final Fantasy IX by Parasite Eve, but I'm almost done with it and I'll start going back to finish the games I started.

to fully expirience those games you have to finnish them one at the time.alot of the continuity of the story is ruined when you stop playing a story based game for a long time.

Out of the 15 you've listed, I've beaten 6 of them already.

I have over 240+ games and I haven't even beaten half of them, which is just a waste.

This happens to me quite often. Bad part is, I almost never go back and finish old games. So I've got dozens of games about halfway beaten. Some day, I suppose. ;)

When this happens its usually because the games you were playing just werent that great or exciting. The good games you play straight through non stop. The boring/average ones are the ones you toss out for something else. I have alot of unfinished games in my collection. Sometimes I pick them up and finish them off but it usually isnt worth it lol.

As more and more systems and games come out you have to just raise your standards. There are WAY to many AWESOME games out there to waste your time playing crappy average/boring games. When you run out of new games and you get sick of playing the fun ones to death then you can pick up the crappy ones and try to finish them off.

I have Jade Cacoon 2, Persona3FEZ, MS Saga, Suikoden Tactics, Soul Nomad, Digimon Data Squad, DQ8, Tales of Legendia, uh who knows what else. What am I playing instead? Mortal Kombat, Drakengard, NFSU2, Samurai Warriors 2 Empires, Star Wars Battlefront 2, DBZ BT2 and a bunch of other crap lol. Actually I am playing MS Saga but its grueling and sucks.

I am totally with you on this one. I usually have at least 3 or 4 games going...but I know if I listed them now it would probably be over ten, and that would depress me :(

This may not be necessarily true. For me, no matter how good a game is, I can't play it for long without wanting to switch to something different. I can only play a game for one or two hours at a time. Maybe its some sort of A.D.D! :)

I have over 75 games in my backlog, about 2 years worth of games....most of them are above average but I just dont have the time for them all. And everytime I go to buy a new game I get like 4-7 new games so my infinite blackhole of a backlog continues to grow to massive proporotions, soon to devour the known universe.

Having owned them since the most recent Christmas, I only recently opened up and played Metroid Prime 3: Corruption and Super Paper Mario. Even when I had no games to play during that seven month delay, I would simply return to old favorites (i.e. Gears of War and Dead Rising).

Admittedly, I rushed through the games so that I could return to the Xbox 360. The Wii Remote only remains dry for so long in my plump hands.

I was like this for a long time it started about mid-way through the PS2s life cycle. I just could not stop buying the next big game, and I would push the others to the side. A couple years ago I made a commitment to play and complete each game I purchased before buying another one. Or if I decided I didn't want to complete it (didn't enjoy it) I would then move on. It has really helped. Not only do I save money, but I get more out of the games I buy.

It required alot of willpower, but once you start experiencing the benefits it becomes easy.

I have the same issue. I put about 15 hours into Shadow Hearts before starting a new game in Wild Arms 5. This was all prior to hitting around 20 hours in Xenogears after starting Persona 3.
