I was gonna post this in SW, but it would have turned into a fanboyfest, and I hope that there will be a more mature discussion here...
Well, yeah, KZ2 looks great...but the gameplay to me looks very much like the first: dull, cliched, clunky. I was one of the people who was suckered into the hype of the first Killzone, and was left very disappointed. I can't help but think this is gonna happen with KZ2 again...

KZ1 was sewage, though anyone surprised by that fact wasn't paying attention, since Nam 67 (which hit a few months before) was sewage. However, Guerilla has improved a lot since KZ, as Killzone Liberation (a top down shooter on the PSP) demonstrates.  I am optimistic about KZ2 based on Liberation, the talk of the beta testers and the reviews, though I admit I haven't played it myself.
However, if you want to skip KZ2, its a free country, and its not like the world suffers from a shortage of quality shooters.
