Anyone else worried that gaming might screw up their life?

I'm probably just bummed after bombing my exams and going home to a crap summer job, but I have to wonder if I could've done better if I never got into gaming. It doesn't help that the girlfriend split saying that I paid more attention to games than her (probably true ;) ). At least it looks like I'll scrape by into the final year of my program ... which is more than I can say about some of my friends.

Have some self control and get your priorities straight. I don't even think about turning on a video game unless I am done with my homework and everyone else is taken care of.

Honestly man, the way I see it, if gaming is screwing up one's life that means it's a problem, like every other addiction out there. Anything could be an addiction that can effect one's life. I think everything is about balance and like the above poster said, to have one's priorities straight, not just for games, but for everything.
